Once you have been supported through your Preparation leading up to your retreat. You can expect each day at a thoughtfully designed and customized program. Mornings begin with a restorative movement class, followed by a healthy breakfast, and more group sessions, such as yoga, meditation or a workshop. Post-lunch, we offer ample personal time for relaxation or reflection, interspersed with guided group activities aimed at fostering connection and personal insight.
Each day ends with good food, good conversation, sound healing or body work and some downtime for personal reflection, journaling or casual interactions. While each session is carefully curated for the attendees, our programs are also designed so that you can participate as much or as little as you like.
We consider hospitality an important part of your experience and each retreat is all-inclusive.
A solo or couples session with RISE offers a private and personalized therapeutic journey. Your experience begins with virtual preparation sessions with a psychotherapist or clinical counsellor. This is followed by a private psilocybin experience in a comfortable, safe and serene setting just outside the city of Toronto and ongoing integrative support.
Guests also have the option to book overnight stays, allowing for additional integration work and relaxation time in a natural, tranquil environment. Post-session, we also provide one-on-one integration support and micro-dosing protocols, helping you to process and apply your insights into your everyday life. Every step of the way, you are cared for and supported by our experienced team, ensuring a positive experience.
A group or corporate team retreat with RISE is a unique and profound team-building experience. "Psychedelic" means "mind-manifesting" and expanded or altered states of consciousness refer to any mental state that goes beyond our typical day-to-day experiences. These states can be achieved through various means, including meditation, breath-work, sensory deprivation, or the use of psychoactive and psychedelic substances.
Psychedelic and expanded states of consciousness have been shown through traditional teachings and clinical work to lead to profound insights, emotional healing, and personal growth.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy involves the use of psychedelic substances in a controlled and therapeutic setting to facilitate personal growth and healing. The substances help clients access deeper emotional states and promote self-exploration, while the therapist provides guidance and support.
The Special Access Program (SAP) in Canada allows healthcare practitioners to request access to drugs that are not yet approved for sale, including psychedelic substances, for the treatment of patients with serious or life-threatening conditions.
Our Collective includes medical doctors, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners. The SAP requires a prescribing, licensed MD to fulfill the SAP request. Our team will connect you with a prescribing doctor and also provide the necessary support for your experience, such as, overnight retreat or psychedelic-assisted therapy day sessions.
Qualifying criteria for Canadian citizens for the SAP include having a serious or life-threatening condition, having tried conventional treatments without success, and obtaining the recommendation of a qualified healthcare practitioner.
The legality of psychedelics varies by country and region.
- In Canada, some psychedelic substances are accessible through the SAP, others are unregulated and used by many to achieve psychedelic and expanded states of consciousness. There are also clinical trials for psychedelic-assisted therapy currently underway.
- In the United States, some cities and states have decriminalized certain psychedelic substances, and clinical trials for psychedelic-assisted therapy are underway.
- In Jamaica and many Caribbean countries, psilocybin and DMT are unregulated and there are many retreats operating in these countries.
There are other countries that allow or tolerate the use of these substances, which may include provisions for use for traditional, ceremonial or religious purposes. Please check your local and federal laws and ask us about the options that available to you in your geography.
As with all substances, there are certain risks and contraindications to be aware of, such as the use of antibiotics, SSRI & SNRI medication, heart conditions, mental health concerns and more. Individuals with a history of psychosis, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder are also considered more high-risk.
It is critical to disclose your medical history and drugs use on your intake form.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy has shown promise in treating substance use disorders, including alcohol and drug addiction.
We do not provide any detox services and we ask guests to refrain from using other drugs or alcohol prior to, and just after a retreat or session.
Please note that alcohol and illicit drugs are strictly prohibited during retreat.
Cannabis is allowed for medical or chronic users where legal, the use of cannabis must not affect other guests.
Our sessions and retreat programs include ongoing supports. Following an experience in an expanded or altered state of consciousness, clients may feel a range of emotions, insights, and personal revelations. At RISE Collective, we provide post-retreat resources, including one-on-one and group integration programs, follow-up sessions with therapists, microdosing protocols and access to a community of like-minded individuals to help clients navigate this process. Clients are also encouraged and supported to create a system of support for their return.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy is unique to current treatments as it is the combination of talk therapy in conjunction with the use of a psychedelic substance. It differs from traditional therapies like CBT or talk therapy in its approach to accessing and processing emotional and psychological material.
While traditional therapies rely on verbal communication and cognitive processing, psychedelic-assisted therapy uses the altered states of consciousness induced by the substances to help clients access deeper emotional states and promote self-exploration. This can lead to more profound insights and transformative experiences that might not be achievable through conventional therapeutic approaches alone.
There are certain conditions that we cannot support at this time, such as, diagnosed schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar, or personality disorder.
Certain prescriptions, like SNRI'S and SSRI'S, may interfere or blunt the effects of a psychedelic substance. Others are contraindicated and require some tapering or cessation. This can be assessed and discussed during your intake.
Please disclose any mental health conditions during your initial consultation. Our team will work with you to determine if our programs are suitable for you.
It is important to recognize that while many people have positive experiences with psychedelic-assisted therapy and healing ceremonies, there is no guarantee that every individual will have the same outcome.
Personal factors, such as life experiences, intentions, emotional states, and so much more, can significantly influence the overall outcome. It is important to remember that psychedelic-assisted therapies are not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all solution.
That's why it is essential to approach the experience with an open mind, realistic and managed expectations, and a willingness to engage in the necessary work before, during and after the session or ceremony.
We are here to help you find the best path forward, and we know that your most powerful healer is within yourself--we would be honoured to help you find and get to know your inner healer.
Participants should be of legal age in their geography and have the emotional maturity to engage in the process.
The cost of participating in a psychedelic-assisted therapy session or retreat session can vary widely depending on factors such as the provider, location, and duration of the experience. Retreat and solo session costs vary widely between our base cost of $4,500 to $25,000++ for exclusive, luxury experiences.
